What a wonderful day we had on Saturday, August 18 at DePue Lakefront Park. The sun was out, the lake was inviting, and the shelter was stacked with pallets of food. We partnered with River Bend Food Bank to give away a truckload of food to 170 families. People came equipped with bags, boxes, laundry baskets and strollers, and they left with them piled high with cans and boxes as well as bags of potatoes, loaves of break, fresh grapefruit, salad, orange juice and pork roast.
A big "Thank You" to our 40+ volunteers and the many generous people in our community who support us. We can't help our needy neighbors without you.
